Criticality Analysis
Published on February 23, 2026
This is a topic I get asked about often. "What is the benefit to establishing an asset criticality?" The short answer is "everything." Quite honestly, the criticality tells us how much we can about our assets and what we are willing to do, and pay for. Criticality analysis should be non-bias, and process driven. Most criticality analysis efforts are fraught with bias and immeasurable factors. Don't make this mistake.
